1. What you are buying
Adbidvertiser sells advertising exposure through adbid rights. Adbid rights are advertising credits used only inside the Platform. They are not money, not stored value, not a deposit, not an investment, and not a cash balance.
When you buy adbid rights, the purchase amount is credited to your inactive adbid rights account after payment confirmation. A 10% platform fee is added to the checkout amount, and VAT may also be added if enabled.
USD and NGN purchases may have different minimums. USD purchases use the configured USD minimum. NGN purchases can be configured so the rights purchase amount buys at least 1.00 inactive adbid right before the 10% platform fee and VAT are added. At the current configured rate, that pre-fee, pre-VAT purchase amount is NGN 1,400.00. VAT, if enabled, is added at checkout and tracked separately.
2. General refund rule
Purchases of adbid rights are final and non-refundable once payment is confirmed and the credits are issued, except where:
- the payment was duplicated by mistake;
- the payment provider confirmed a charge but the Platform did not credit your account;
- the amount charged was materially different from the amount shown at checkout;
- we are required by applicable law to refund you; or
- we choose, at our discretion, to refund or reverse a transaction because of a platform error.
We do not provide refunds because an advert receives fewer impressions, clicks, leads, sales, or ranking results than expected. Advertising performance is not guaranteed.
3. Active rights and challenges are not refundable
Activating adbid rights into the Public Exposure Ledger is irreversible. Active rights cannot be moved back to inactive rights and cannot be refunded.
If you use rights to challenge or claim the Top Sponsor spotlight, a stated amount is reserved for that spotlight under the round rules. A reservation does not divide your paid-active-rights score between country and International ledgers, but it locks those rights from another spotlight use. A refund is not owed because another advertiser later deposes you, because your ad ranking changes, or because the countdown expires. If the countdown expires, your active rights expire because you received the advertising exposure attached to that round.
4. Returned rights and Comeback Boosts
If you hold the spotlight and a funded challenger validly deposes you, your reserved spotlight rights may return to your inactive adbid rights account under the Platform rules, and you may receive a Comeback Boost in the ledger scope where you were deposed. These are platform credits only. They are not a refund, not cash, and not withdrawable.
If you choose automatic reactivation, a valid Deposition Return can become active again when eligible. That move is irreversible: the rights cannot be manually moved back to inactive and expire at the end of the round unless you are later validly deposed from a Top Sponsor spotlight before the round ends.
Returned inactive rights and Comeback Boosts expire according to the rules shown in your dashboard, FAQ, and Terms.
5. Failed, pending, or declined payments
If a payment fails or is declined, no adbid rights would be credited. If your bank or payment provider temporarily holds funds for a failed transaction, that release is controlled by the payment provider or your bank.
If your payment is confirmed by the provider but your account is not credited, contact us with your payment reference. If we verify the charge, we will either credit the correct adbid rights or refund the payment where crediting is not reasonably possible.
6. Duplicate payments and billing errors
If you believe you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount, contact us as soon as possible through the Contact page. Include:
- the email address on your account;
- the payment provider;
- the payment reference;
- the date and amount charged; and
- a short description of the issue.
If we confirm a duplicate payment or material billing error, we will correct it by refunding the duplicate or excess amount, or by crediting the correct adbid rights if you prefer and the Platform can lawfully do so.
7. VAT and taxes
Where VAT or another tax is added at checkout, it is tracked separately from platform fees and adbid rights. If a qualifying refund is issued for a payment that included VAT, the refundable VAT portion will be handled together with the refunded payment amount, subject to applicable tax and payment-provider rules.
8. Coupons, bonus credits, and promotions
Coupon-generated inactive adbid rights, bonus exposure credits, share-load bonuses, referral boosts, returned rights, comeback boosts, and other promotional credits have no cash value. They cannot be refunded, withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money.
Admin may terminate, reverse, or correct promotional credits if they were issued by mistake, abused, obtained through fraud, or used contrary to the Platform rules.
9. Ad-specific rights and directory listings
When multiple ads are enabled, activated rights and spotlight commitments belong to the ad selected for that action. Changing your default ad, editing another ad, archiving an eligible inactive ad, or assigning a growth credit to another ad does not create a refund right or transfer existing active rights.
Evergreen Directory placement is a separate unpaid discovery tier. Its availability, periodic confirmation, category or region classification, display frequency, or removal for staleness does not change the paid exposure already delivered and does not create a refundable cash balance.
10. Media, galleries and external videos
Compression, watermarking, moderation delays, rejected media, disabled external video support, unavailable third-party videos, or removal of mismatched video links do not convert adbid rights into a refundable cash balance. If a billing error or failed payment occurs, the billing-error rules in this policy still apply.
11. Moderation and rejected ads
Ads are subject to moderation. If an ad is rejected, you can usually edit and resubmit it. A rejected or suspended ad does not automatically create a refund right, especially where credits remain inactive or can still be used with compliant ad content.
If we permanently prevent you from using paid inactive rights because of a platform-side error not caused by your breach, we may credit replacement rights or consider a refund where required by law.
12. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can investigate. Improper chargebacks may lead to account freezing, reversal of credited rights, reversal of referral or bonus credits, and suspension of access.
If a chargeback is filed, we may claw back the related adbid rights, hold rewards, and preserve records needed for fraud, accounting, tax, and dispute handling.
13. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through the payment provider. Processing time depends on the provider and your bank. Provider fees, bank fees, FX differences, and settlement delays may affect what you see and when you see it.
